Details of the Initiative

The Japanese Language Education Center organizes a two-week Short-term Japanese Language Program twice a year. Each time, about 30 students who learn Japanese attend the program from various countries and regions worldwide, with Meiji University students providing daily support during their stay. International students and student supporters participate together in activities such as discussions on various topics, group video production, and social events. Meetings are also arranged to facilitate interactions with international students currently studying at Meiji University, offering a chance to share their future goals. In addition to teaching Japanese, the program provides both international students and Meiji University students with opportunities to learn about diverse cultures and perspectives, foster mutual respect by embracing differences in age, gender, race, ethnicity, and religion, and significantly inspire one another. This program will continue, promoting learning and growth for everyone involved.
